On Endings
In On Never Saying Never Again, I talked about how hard it is to reinvent yourself. Online, professionally, personally ... it doesn't matter. But you have to do it. Things are always in the process of becoming, never perfect.
I think some of my best writing to date has been done here, on this site that I started on a whim. This was my escape that became my main canvas, which worked until I realized how weak the easel had become.
So, while I'm excited about consolidating my blog empire, I would be lying to you if I said I wasn't closing up shop here with some sadness and regret. It's good sadness, the kind where you say goodby to a place you loved to go move someplace new and exciting.
You hope it will be better, but you just don't know.
Thank you, little brown notebook. You were there when I needed you most.
